Corner-to-Corner crochet is all the rage at the moment. It's such a fun stitch and there are so many things you can do with it. I mean, have you seen some of the graphgans made with this stitch? Simply breathtaking! So why not a hat made with this super neat stitch?!
Yep, a hat. Pretty cool, eh? What's really awesome about this thing is that it has a removable Santa belt headband. What the what, you say? You heard me! The belt part is friggin' REMOVABLE! {mind officially blown}
The pattern for this is a whole lot different than a normal in the round pattern, but it's not hard. You just need to know how to follow a graph.
C2C is a simple stitch to do, but if you aren't familiar with it check out this video by Mikey with The Crochet Crowd. It's probably the best tutorial out there showing how the coolness is done.

Here are all the stitches that you will need to know before starting this hat.
Slip stitch
Chain
Single Crochet
Double Crochet
Whip Stitch (for sewing the hat together)
Front Post Double Crochet
Back Post Double Crochet
This hat is made with worsted weight yarn using both a H and G hook. It's crocheted as a flat panel and then sewn together and cinched at the top. It's not hard, just a different way to do it. I'd give this a rating of advanced beginner to intermediate. It is easy to customize the size on this simply by adjusting the size of the panel you create. But remember to always check your gauge, folks!
Seriously, how' FUN is this hat! I think Santa would even wear this one!
